- Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying

A small amount of ingestion may cause drooling or foaming. However, we would not want the pet to ingest a large amount as it can cause stomach upset. If your recently treated pets tend to groom each other, we would recommend separating them until the product is dry, or about 24 hours. After the product is dry, there is no harm in your pet licking the product.
The smell is due to the natural oils and extracts in the product. The smell should dissipate down in a day or two once the product is dry. All our Flea and Tick Products are detergent soluble and can be removed with soap and water. However, bathing your pet will remove the product and will no longer protect against fleas and ticks.
