Instructions
Fleas and ticks can be present all year around, even in colder climates, and can lay dormant for several months before hatching. PetArmor® and the Companion Animal Parasite Council recommend treating your dog each month throughout the year to help prevent flea and tick infestations. Used a directed, PetArmor® Plus can stop infestations and help prevent reinfestation.
How to Apply
Applying PetArmor® Plus flea and tick protection at home is easy. Just follow these steps each time you use the product.
Before You Apply
Applying correctly starts with purchasing the correct product. Before purchasing, weigh your dog. Don't guess! It is important to know your dog’s exact weight. PetArmor® Plus for Dogs is available in four different weight breaks for dogs and puppies: 5 to 22 pounds, 23 to 44 pounds, 45 to 88 pounds, and 89 to 132 pounds. DO NOT attempt to split doses between dogs.
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON CATS. Be sure to choose dog products for dogs and cat products for cats. These products are different formulations based on the species and your pet’s weight and SHOULD NEVER be used interchangeably. PetArmor® Plus for Cats is available to protect your cat.
Don't forget to consider your dog's age. ONLY use PetArmor® Plus for Dogs on dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age.

Applying the Product
- Remove product tubes from the package.
- Separate one tube from the others.
- Hold the tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body. Use scissors to cut off the narrow end at the notches along the line.
- Invert tube over dog and use open end to part your dog’s hair.
- Squeeze the applicator contents in three to four spots from the shoulder blades to midway down your dog’s back until the applicator is empty. Do not apply down to your dog’s tail.
- Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Keep treated pets apart from each other, other pets and children for 24 hours after treatment and until the product is dry. This helps prevent pets from ingesting the topical by licking or grooming one another.

The product starts killing fleas and ticks within 24 hours and may take as long as 48 hours.
No. Make sure that your dog is completely dry before applying the product. It is best to wait 12 hours to assure that your dog is completely dry prior to application.
You should not reapply the product any more often than once every four weeks.
Once the product has dried on your dog’s skin, the application site should not appear greasy. However, if some of the product did get caught in your dog’s hair it could cause a greasy appearance. If the dog’s hair still appears greasy 48 hours after application, we would recommend using a wet washcloth or paper towel to wipe the excess product off the fur.
Yes, it is ok to use this product if you have a cat in your home. We DO recommend separating your pets until the product has had a chance to dry for 24-48 hours. This will help to reduce the chance of your cat grooming and ingesting the product off of your dog.
When properly stored and under ideal conditions, the product has a three-year shelf life. If there has been a variance in temperature (extreme heat for example), it may reduce the effectiveness of the product. Be sure to store the product in a cool (below 77°F/25°C) dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Do not refrigerate and protect from direct sunlight.
