HOW DO I KNOW IF MY DOG HAS WORMS?In the case of many intestinal parasites, but not with all parasites, your pet may expel adult worms with their bowel movements. If you can collect a fresh stool (fecal) sample for your veterinarian, it will make it easier for them to make a positive identification. Your veterinarian will prepare a sample and examine it under a microscope to look for the immature form (eggs) of the intestinal worms.

WHAT TYPE OF WORMS DOES THIS MEDICATION TREAT?PetArmor® for Dogs Sure Shot® 2X (pyrantel pamoate) removes large roundworms (T. canis and T. leonina) and hookworms (A. caninum and U. stenocephala). It also prevents reinfestation of roundworms (T. canis).

HOW FREQUENTLY DO I GIVE THIS TO MY DOG?It is recommended that puppies be treated at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age. Adult dogs should be routinely treated at monthly intervals to protect against environmental reinfection. Retreatment of adult dogs may be necessary at monthly intervals as determined by laboratory fecal examinations or in animals kept in known contaminated quarters.

HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCT TAKE TO WORK?Depending on your dog’s infestation it could take up to 7 days. Within 24 to 48 hours you should notice an increase in your dog’s stool. If possible collect droppings as soon as possible to be disposed of. If you need to retreat your dog, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian and have them perform a fecal test on your dog to rule out any other issues.

WHAT IF I GIVE THIS TO MY DOG AND HE STILL HAS WORMS?We recommend that you follow up with your veterinarian after treatment for a follow up fecal exam.

WHEN CAN I FEED MY DOG AFTER DOSING?Your dog may eat as usual when giving this medication.

CAN I USE THIS ON MY PREGNANT, BREEDING OR LACTATING DOG?Lactating bitches should be treated two to three weeks after whelping. The safety of this product in breeding and pregnant dogs has not been determined. We would recommend checking with your veterinarian for recommendations.

CAN I TREAT MY CAT WITH THIS PRODUCT?No. This product is specifically formulated for use on dogs only. We do not recommend administering it to any other animal.

BEFORE YOU USING
Correct usage starts with purchasing the correct product. Before purchasing, weigh your dog. Don't guess! It is important to know your dog’s exact weight.
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON CATS. Be sure to choose dog products for dogs and cat products for cats. These products are different formulations based on the species and your pet’s weight and SHOULD NEVER be used interchangeably.
Don't forget to consider your dog's age. ONLY use PetArmor® Sure Shot 2X (pyrantel pamoate) on dogs and puppies 2 weeks of age and older.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
This palatable liquid can be administered to puppies beginning at 2 weeks of age, and continuing at 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks of age. Lactating dams should be treated two to three weeks after whelping. Adult dogs kept in heavily contaminated quarters may be treated monthly to prevent roundworms reinfestation.
For animal use only. Use as directed. Do not use in severely debilitated or ill animals.
Shake thoroughly before every use.
Administer 1 full teaspoonful (5 mL) for each 10 pounds of body weight.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use.
Consult your veterinarian for assistance of diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Dogs maintained under conditions of constant exposure to worm infestation should have a follow-up fecal examination within two to four weeks after first treatment. Presence of parasites should be confirmed by a laboratory fecal examination.
